» Karma R. Chávez will be an Assistant Professor of intercultural communication at the University of New Mexico beginning in Fall 2008. Her most current research explores the intersections of sexuality and immigration.
» Aimee Meredith Cox is a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Center for Research on Women at the University of Michigan. Starting Fall 2008, she will be Assistant Professor of African American and African Studies at Rutgers University-Newark.
» Faust Radio is the audio arm of the satirical activist performance company Mickee Faust Club, operating in Tallahassee, Florida. Faust Radio has had a recurring radio slot on Tallahassee's WFVS-FM since 2001. Operation Free Cheese was originally broadcast on April 30, 2003, and won a Bronze Medal for Regularly Scheduled Comedy from the New York Festivals' Radio Programming Awards in 2004. Another Radio Faust production, War of the Worlds, won a "Communicator Award of Excellence" in comedy programming in 2008.
» Jennifer L. Freitag is a violence prevention/crisis services coordinator and adjunct women’s studies instructor at the University of Central Missouri. In 2006, she developed “The Current” peer theatre program at the University of Central Missouri in which students promote dialogue about issues related to gender violence through Theatre of the Oppressed and bystander intervention techniques. She is a poet, musician, performer and activist. In Fall 2008 she will enter the Ph.D. program in performance studies in the Department of Communication at Southern Illinois University.
» Tiye Giraud is an independent vocalist/percussionist/composer in New York City.
» Anita Gonzalez is Associate Professor in the Department of Theater Arts at the State University of New York—New Paltz, where she teaches Directing, African American Drama, and courses on Race, Gender, and Performance.
» Petra Kuppers is Associate Professor in the departments of English, Theatre and Dance, and Women's Studies at the University of Michigan. She is Artistic Director of The Olimpias Performance Research Series.
» David Payne is Associate Professor in the Department of Communication at the University of South Florida.
» Carrie Sandahl is Associate Professor at Florida State University's School of Theatre, where she teaches courses in contemporary critical theory, dramatic literature, and disability studies.
» Jay Steichmann is a PhD student at Michigan State University whose specialization is in the emergent field of digital rhetoric.
» Patricia A. Suchy is Associate Professor of Communication Studies and Director of the Program for the Study of Film and Media Arts at Louisiana State University, where she directs in the HopKins Black Box theatre and teaches courses in film history, documentary, Bakhtinian theory, and experimental performance. Her essays have appeared in Text and Performance Quarterly, Theatre Annual, CineAction, The Journal of Dramatic Theory and Criticism, and On Site. Recent projects include the 2006-7 documentary Revisiting Flaherty’s Louisiana Story. Next spring she will direct a new play about the discovery of the double helix structure of DNA.
