Responsibility is not purely on her, the masseuse-author. Responsibility is shifted to masseuse and client, but the touch itself is not responsible. It isn’t guilty or innocent. It sends and receives. Surely, neurotransmitters cannot be expected to assume responsibility for ‘deciding’ to enter the synapse?
